CNC Machinist - Experienced

Position Summary

The Experienced CNC Machinist is a full time position reporting to the CNC Group Leader on daylight shift which is typically from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday with overtime options available through extended hours or work on Saturdays.

Essential Functions

  • Operation and programming of horizontal and vertical CNC mills and lathes
  • Follow technical instructions and interpret blueprints
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
  • Follow company procedures and directives
  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.   
  • Maintain the tools used to create products
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials
  • Production of metallic and non-metallics parts
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed and depth and angle of cut

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Proficient in Blueprint Reading
  • Proficient with GD&T 
  • Proficient with MasterCam Programming Software
  • Proficient with Haas and Mazak CNC Machines
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to diagnose issues and problem solve when necessary
  • Ability to concentrate on intricate detailed work for long periods of time
  • Knowledge of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Journeyman Machinist or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good candidates should have some prior vocational/ technical training and skills.
  • Three to five years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Work Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Work is generally performed in a climate controlled environment
  • May be required to be in one place for extended periods of time
  • Will be required to work with other employees frequently
  • May be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds

Business Development Manager

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing revenue and managing supporting strategic initiatives – while also meeting the company’s profit objectives. These goals will be accomplished by growing revenue through new business with existing customers and establishing new customers.

Essential Functions

  • Accountable for worldwide top-line revenue, growth, and demand generation (opportunity funnel) for all services (machining, welding, grinding, EDM, electrical assembly, mechanical assembly and engineering) and all products (weldments and enclosures)
  • Has a high-degree of outward market focus and is the market expert (understanding business conditions, trends, processes, technologies, etc.) for our services and products
  • Identifies new business opportunities (markets, acquisitions, joint ventures, etc.) 
  • Leads the creation and execution of all marketing and sales plans for growing top-line revenue
  • Partners with the Customer Service Team to ensure strategic opportunities are converted to active accounts
  • Frequently travels to visit customers/prospects and tradeshows to gather market intelligence and help close strategic sales opportunities
  • Works closely with management to ensure product and service roadmaps are aligned with market strategies
  • Collaborates with management to develop marketing collateral for respective market segments in order to drive demand generation

 

Additional Duties

  • Monitor competitors for market trends.  Disseminate this information to management as necessary.
  • Develop and execute tradeshow events
  • Host all onsite customer visits
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong proactive approach to business development
  • Calculated risk-taking ability
  • Ability to continually process and synthesize seemingly disparate pieces of market and technological information and understand how those pieces might relate to each other.  Assess and dynamically respond to this information’s potential impact on the company’s strategic plans
  • Effective presentation skills; able to clearly communicate with people at all levels of the organization and with customers/prospects; excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical specifications and drawings
  • High proficiency with spreadsheet-type math and applications
  • Strong understanding of contract manufacturing processes and capabilities
  • Skilled at defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a technical discipline or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in business from an accredited college or university, required
  • Technical degree (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics), preferred
  • Minimum of five years in a technical field with business and/or commercial experience, required
  • Required technical, business, or market experience in the manufacturing industry

Work Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment
  • When not traveling; working from the office is expected
  • May be required to sit for extended periods of time
  • Domestic travel will be required
  • The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
